IMG_0229Just before Christmas last year, a family friend, Emma, asked if I would be able to make her wedding cake. Despite not living near where the wedding was going to be I said yes since it was near my parents so I thought it would be a good chance to go back to my parents for a few days. It looked impressive but I couldn’t help thinking that it looked like a pavlova, just constructed in a slightly different way. cake cornerThis wedding cake was a last minute favour for somebody at work. Luckily though, I didn’t have to make the cake, just ice and decorate an 11″ square fruit. It was a single tier cake and I loved the simplicity of the design they chose – a white cake with purple and lilac flowers around the base.
