The best way to use up left over cake decorations is to do some more baking! I have a pot filled with left over flowers of various shapes, sizes and colours, so I picked out these ones to create some elegant biscuits! I usually use a biscuit recipe from the Biscuiteers Book of Iced Biscuits as they are always tasty and have the perfect texture. Click  here to try their vanilla biscuit recipe.

May was a busy month for cakes, so I didn’t get round to writing about any of them or putting any photos up. Rubber Duck Cupcakes

After a lot of indecisiveness (usually the case if I haven’t already got a plan about what I’m making!) I decided to make some rubber duck cupcakes for the cake trolley the other week. I had plenty of sugar paste left from cakes I’ve made over the last few weeks so some simple decorations to use it up seemed like a good option. Click here to see the rubber ducks!

IMG_3133I love being asked to make cakes that are a bit different and this one was definitely different! Trudy said she wanted a cake for her husband that incorporated his 2 loves – cows and football. IMG_3011Last weekend it definitely felt like spring had arrived. We’d also had some lovely sunny days at the start of the week so I couldn’t resist making some spring cupcakes but after I made these on Wednesday evening the weather suddenly changed – I woke up on Thursday morning to see it was snowing!
