 Autumn has definitely arrived – we’ve had a couple of mornings with frost, some very wet weather and the pavements are starting to get covered in leaves. So for the first cross-country race of the season a few weeks ago I decided to make some autumn-themed cupcakes for after the race. On the day of the race, it was actually extremely mild – not like a typical cross-country race day – which made a nice change! I also really enjoyed the race. The course was great – undulating with a few muddy sections and a water jump (which was my favourite bit – it helped to cool me down!) Click here to keep reading.

Since discovering that we have tawny owls living in the woods near us, I have found a new love for these gorgeous birds. IMG_0937AWe are massive fans of the Great British Bake Off and I keep meaning to have a go at some of the technical challenges to see just how hard they are. So when my parents came to visit and bought along loads of home grown pears I thought I would take the opportunity to challenge my Mum and myself to have a go at baking Paul Hollywood’s mini pear pies.
