I keep finding photos of cakes that I made ages ago but never uploaded, so this is quite an old one from over 6 years ago! It was my nephew’s Christening cake. Click here to keep reading.

I bought some cloud cooking cutters as it was almost impossible to cut clouds neatly by freehand. I loved rolling all the white balls to make the big 3D clouds, they looked really effective.

Instead of ribbon around each tier, I used a special silicone mould that makes a chain of icing balls that I carefully stuck into place. It was pretty time consuming and wasn’t quite as neat as I had hoped, I found it really hard to get them into a nice straight line without them breaking apart. I’m not sure I have used it much since!
