We all love chocolate cake in our house and especially a cake with lots of buttercream and ganache! So we were very happy to try this recipe out this weekend. It also made the perfect pudding for our friends who came over for lunch on Sunday, both the grown ups and kids loved it. Click here to see how we got on.

Can’t believe it’s week 4 of the bake off already! As we were away at the weekend, I made these for pudding on Friday night as a treat. I didn’t think there would be time to make them after school on Friday with the girls as it seems to take about twice the amount of time when they help! So I made them in stages throughout the day by myself and then baked time in time for pudding, Click here to see how I got on.

Up until about 4 years ago I rarely baked bread, Rich didn’t really eat gluten so I didn’t really have any reason to make it. But when he started eating gluten again I slowly started making more bread and trying different things and now I’m totally addicted and bake bread at least once a week but usually 4-5 times! I make a loaf or two of milk bread most weeks, as it’s lovely and soft and perfect for toast in the morning, so I was very excited to see the bakers giving it a go. I also love trying new breads for lunch at the weekend and with the weather turning colder we’ll definitely be having soup and bread for lunch a lot more. After the success of the malt loaf last week the girls were keen to have a go at making the jammy biscuits after school on Friday.
