Last week was pastry week on the bake off and I really don’t make much pastry as it’s very hard to make gluten free for Rich to eat so I just tend to avoid it. So I was looking forward to the challenge and eating 12 custard tarts all to myself! Click  here to see how I got on.

It’s been a bit of a crazy week as it was Emily’s 1st Birthday last Thursdays, so I had a very important Birthday cake to make which took priority, so I am only getting round to doing this now. It’s not long till the bake off final, so only a few more weeks of technical challenges left. I’ve got a very busy few weeks, so it’s a good job that last weeks challenge was a quick and easy one! I thought they would be good for a post cross country race snack, so made a double batch to take to the first Met League cross country race of the season. Click  here to see how I got on.
