After the success of the malt loaf last week the girls were keen to have a go at making the jammy biscuits after school on Friday. Emily loved watching the GBBO again and is already planning a gingerbread biscuit construction for Christmas! Click here to take a look at our attempt at making jammy biscuits.

Paul’s recipe can be found here. We made a bigger batch of raspberry jam as we eat a lot of homemade bread and jam for breakfast in our house and just sieved a small portion of it, which Emily helped out with. I didn’t buy a swirl biscuit stamp as they are quite pricy and I can only imagine what would have happened if I had let the girls stamp the biscuits!

They both enjoyed helping cut the biscuits out. The dough was super soft and warmed up really quickly once it was removed from the fridge. We made some bigger ones and some slightly smaller ones.

The girls had a lot of fun dusting the biscuits (and kitchen!) with icing sugar before assembling them. They were absolutely delicious but very messy to eat!
