It was Chloe’s 5th Birthday at the end of November and once again she was very specific about the cake she wanted! She chose a bunny design with pink, blue and purple flowers and requested the bake off chocolate fudge cake with some salted caramel between each layer – good choice Chloe! I really enjoyed making all the decorations for this in advance, the design was from a picture on Pinterest, unfortunately I can find the original website to give them credit, but it’s a really lovely design.
I made all the decorations using sugar florist paste so they were nice and hard by the time I came to make and decorate the cake. I inserted some wire into the ears to ensure they didn’t fall over. And once again the bake off chocolate fudge cake recipe didn’t disappoint and was actually delicious with some home made salted caramel as well as ganache in between each layer of cake. I’ll definitely be doing that again, good choice Chloe!
