I ended up making 2 tarts, one with gluten free pastry (to keep my hubby happy!) and one normal one for the baby group on Thursday. The recipe was pretty straight forward, I didn’t make the jam though as I had quite a lot left over from the Viennese whirls. The recipe can be found here.
Each stage went smoothly, the only thing in the recipe that wasn’t quite right was the icing, it definitely needed more water adding to it, otherwise it was so thick it wasn’t spreadable. The finished tart looked great and although it was pretty sickly we demolished the whole thing on Sunday! I am sure the other one for the baby group on Thursday won’t last long either…
