I love being creative and designing cakes, especially kids one as they are so much fun! So when a neighbour asked me to make a cake for her daughter’s first Birthday I was so excited! Click here to see my design.
I was sent some pictures of the dinosaur decorations they had for her party, so I based the colour theme on them. I always think cakes looks best when you use 2-3 main colours. So I created 6 different dinosaurs, 3 pink and 3 green.
All the decorations were made from sugar florist paste and made in advance so they were all nice and solid when I stuck them onto the cake. The sugar florist paste is great for making grass and dinosaur spikes as it doesn’t crumble and stays nice and firm when it stuck on.
I think this is probably one of my favourite cakes ever! The girls loved it so much too and Chloe was a bit sad when I put it in it’s special box to give to our neighbour!
