Having been away for half term I am a bit behind with the bake off challenges! I didn’t have time to make this one before we left, so it was on my list of things to cook when we got home, perfect for this miserable autumnal weather. Click here to see how I got on.

I made the pastry and cooked the potatoes on Friday when I had time, then popped it all in the fridge to chill before I assembled it on Saturday for dinner. Click here to see Paul’s recipe.

Neither Rich or I really like blue cheese so I used Gruyère instead for the sauce, which was delicious. I only made half the recipe as I knew we wouldn’t eat 8-10 portions over the weekend, but it was perfect for dinner on Saturday and Sunday night with a cider braised chicken and mushroom stew, the girls really enjoyed eating it too.
