I can’t believe this series of Bake Off is almost over, we’ve really enjoyed it once again and loved trying the technical challenges each week. There has only been one savoury bake this year, and with both girls Birthdays and Rich’s Birthday too, we have eaten a lot of cake over the last couple of months! I just about managed to squeeze in making this weeks technical with the girls this weekend. It was definitely a more challenging bake this week with several tricky elements. But worth it as it definitely put a smile on our faces! Click here to see how we got on.

I had just enough time on Sunday evening to attempt this weeks technical challenge and make these for pudding. A traditional steamed sponge and custard was definitely the perfect comfort food for this time of year. Click here to see how I got on.

It was Emily’s 8th Birthday a couple of weeks ago and this year she decided she wanted a Welsh rugby ball cake. She also wanted the Bake Off chocolate fudge cake as it was so yummy, so I managed to reshape the left over huge cake from week 1 of the Bake Off and turn it into rugby ball. Perfect!
