I’d love to have more time to try some patisserie stuff, I love watching Bake Off the Professionals and seeing some of the amazing patisserie things they do. It’s all so precise and they have lots of clever equipment too! These deserts were perfectly timed with Rich’s Birthday, so they made a tasty treat for pudding on Saturday night. Rich absolutely loves ice cream, so for his Birthday last year I decided to have a go at a melted ice cream drip cake. Not my usual style of cake, but I bought a special scraper to make striped in buttercream and had never used it, so thought this was a good opportunity to give it a go. I nearly always end up giving people cupcakes or homemade goodies as presents. I quite often make a big batch of cupcakes and freeze them if I know I have things coming up where I might need to take a gift. Then I will make 6 or 12 decorations specifically for the event/friend. I love creating personal decorations. Click here to see some more pics of these cute little elephant cupcakes.
